Zeus III Slot

Online slots developer WMS gaming have released the first video slot to use the Reel Boost game engine – Zeus III. It is easy to see what all the fuss is about with its 6 reels and mouth-watering 192 paylines. This Greek mythology-themed slot machine is based on the Greek God of Sky and Thunder. Zeus III offers stakes as low as 40p per spin to a max of £120 per spin.

Following on the back of the classic Zeus slot, you’ll notice that Zeus III looks different. You’ll see six reels arranged in a sidewise pyramid layout. Getting 3 or more Coliseum feature symbols on consecutive reels (2-6) triggers the Free Spins feature. 3 feature symbols will get you 10 free spins, 10x your stake and 25 free spins for 4 feature symbols and 5 feature symbols gets you 50x your stake and 50 free spins.

The reel arrangement is definitely different in Zeus III from what you’ve seen in the previous Zeus slots. What you see is the first reels has two stop spaces, the second three spaces up to the last reel which has six stop spaces. This layout gives you the opportunity to line up multiple wins. Reel nudges happen when any Zeus symbol appear on that reel and it will nudge to fill the entire reel with wild symbols. Commonly referred to as the Nudging Wilds feature, a full reel of logo symbols turns this into a wild reel. 3 or more wild reels is where the big wins come from and you’ll feel like you’ve reached the heavenly clouds.

Although the base game wins are a little harder to come by due to the reel layout, once a feature is triggered and those reels flip, wins of massive proportions are possible. Once again the key is getting wild reels. Huge wins should be achieved once inside the Free Spins feature. Just by getting the Zeus symbol on 3 or more reels will give you even more wild reels.

If you got a buzz from the original Zeus release, then you’ll definitely want to check out Zeus III. This is a game I always play when I visit Las Vegas (and in particular The Venetian) – last time out, I won over 1,000 times my bankroll in one 3 hour session. If you like the game engine but want slightly lower variance, you have Red Flag Fleet.
