Familiar design
If you’ve ever played Tetris in any of its many incarnations, you’ll find plenty that’s familiar in the Tetris Extreme slot adaptation. The action takes place on a 7 reel, 10 row grid. There you’ll find 7 different coloured squares. 4 or more of these can join together to create a tetromino which can rotate 90, 180, 270 degrees before dropping into position.
Cluster Pays mechanic
Winning combinations in Tetris Extreme are created by landing clusters of 9 or more matching symbols. These can be created horizontally and vertically. It’s possible to land more than 1 winning cluster on the same spin.
Line Clear Multiplier
If you fill an entire row with 7 symbols, then you’ll clear a line. The symbols disappear and new one drop down. This in turn brings multipliers into play. Known as the Line Clear Multiplier feature, the more rows that are cleared during a single game, the higher the multipliers. With 1 line clear, a multiplier of 2x is applied. If you manage to get 15 or more line clears in one go, then the multiplier rockets to a massive 50x. At the beginning of each spin, the multiplier reverts to its standard 1x.
Free spins
If you manage to clear 15 or more lines in a single game, you’ll trigger the Free Spins feature. On offer here are 10 free spins. The action in the bonus round is the same as the base game and uses the iconic Tetris music we all remember from our Gameboy days!
The only exception being the addition of a gold tetromino. If you clear a row that contains a gold tetromino, then the standard line clear multiplier gets boosted by 5x – this can lead to 250x multipliers being applied. You can land only 1 gold Tetromino on each free spin. You can also win more 10 free spins if you get 15 or more Line Clears – with no limits.
Mega Drop jackpots
Tetris Extreme is part of the Mega Drop Jackpot network, so you’ll have a chance to land 1 of the Minor, Major or Epic Jackpots. The latter offers awards that can reach up to £200,000.
Not your average slot
