As this is the first anyway slot to be released by WMS you are probably thinking that you can win any way like I did. That’s not true. Wins are only left to right but because there are no paylines. You can win by getting three or more symbols anywhere on the reels as long as one of the symbols is on the first reel. I must stress this is a very high variance game so tread with care!
The Free Spins feature is the main attraction. A big sparkly diamond is the scatter symbol and by landing 3 or more you will initiate the feature. Three diamonds gives you 8 free spins, four diamonds grants 15 free spins, five diamonds is 20 free spins and landing a diamond on every reel (6 diamonds) gives you 50 free spins.
While the reels are spinning with your free spins, additional spins can be earned by getting two or more Diamonds. Those two extra diamonds will get you an extra 5 free spins. The norm seems to be between 15 and 20 free spins but this isn’t guaranteed – I’ve got 40 extra free spins twice now!
If the Tree Wild symbol (on reels 2 – 6) helps make a winning combination, the wilds change into 2x or 3x multipliers. Looking for a big win? Just catch a few Rhino symbols with three or more wilds and be prepared to be amazed as you can win huge, huge amounts! My best result to date is a whopping 720 times my stake. However, I tend to win just below 30 times my stake on average.
Raging Rhino is a very high variance slot and can definitely eat through a bankroll rather quickly if you’re not careful. If you’re patient and be careful you can come away with wins of great proportions. While testing the game I did seem to find that I got most of the bigger wins coming from the free spins feature but did get quite a few smaller wins in the regular game. If you do win big, you can win bigger than most other slots out there offer.
If it’s a little too high variance for you, you could try another WMS game like the classic Zeus – it has a good balance and one of the most played slots (in land based casinos) of all time.
