There’s a very traditional feel to the design in My Fair Pearl - the reels include Asian-style A to 9 symbols alongside a heart, a bowl of spices, a jade butterfly, a gold ring and a dragon which pays just over 16 times your stake if you land 5 on adjacent reels.
The mystery woman is the wild - she can appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 and replace all symbols apart from the scatter. Whenever the wild forms part of a winning combination in the base game, the payout gets a 2x multiplier boost and is doubled.
Land 3, 4 or 5 of the pagoda scatter and you’ll receive a payout of 5, 10 or 50 times your total stake – you will also trigger the Free Spins feature where - you’ll also receive 15, 20 or 25 free spins. Land a winner during the feature and it is trebled.
Better still is if you manage to land a winning combination that includes the wild - the doubling 2x multiplier combines with the bonus 3x multiplier to send the payout rocketing by 6x. You can also retrigger the feature giving you up to 50 free spins (with a potential 6x multiplier).
My Fair Pearl is a simple game but one that works pretty well. The cartoon visuals are nicely done and there’s a traditional Chinese-style backing track playing as you spin. The rather basic design is matched by the gameplay. There’s nothing we haven’t seen here in plenty of other slot games. The wild multiplier spices up the base game but the best action comes in the feature when the 3x and 6x multipliers can really get the coins flowing.
You won’t find much that’s earth shattering here but My Fair Pearl is a simple but very playable slot game and certainly worth a look if you enjoy the Sino theme. If you want something blockbuster, Playtech has plenty of options with Vampire Princess of Darkness and The X-Files good games to play.
