Vampire Princess of Darkness Slot

Take a virtual trip to Transylvania in Vampire Princess of Darkness. Created by Playtech, it’s a simple 5 reel, 5 payline slot game that comes with awards of up to 1,500 times your stake per payline as well as a multi-level pick me round. Play on all devices from between 5p and £500 per spin.

The design in Vampire Princess of Darkness is as creepy as you’d expect - set against a forest backdrop with a castle and full moon in the background, the reels feature blood-splattered A and K symbols alongside cloves of garlic, a crucifix, a goblet of wine (or perhaps blood) and a bat.

By far the most rewarding symbol is the castle - land 2, 3, 4 of 5 of these on the same payline and your reward will be a payout of 3, 40, 100 or 1,500 times your stake! The Vampire Princess herself is the wild - she doesn’t offer any payouts in her own right but does substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatter.

That scatter is the gravestone - when it lands on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the same spin, you’ll trigger the game’s only feature, the Graveyard Bonus feature. This is a simple pick me round. You’ll be offered a selection of 6 gravestones - choose 1 to reveal a cash prize. You’ll then move to the next level where 5 gravestones are offered. The selection this time includes a collect. The process is repeated - land a cash prize and you move forward to the next level. A collect ends the feature. There are 5 levels in all if you pick well.

There aren’t any free spins on offer here which is a bit of a disappointment. A humble pick’em round didn’t really get the pulse racing when we first fire up Vampire Princess of Darkness. We enjoyed some good success from it though, pocketing over 100 times our stake on occasions. Expect to land it fairly regularly too. The main wins will come from the castle symbol as you could fill the screen with it and pocket a frightening 7,500 times your stake!

Playtech has kept things basic in Vampire Princess of Darkness. The sound and visuals are well done without being too flashy. The gameplay is stripped back too. We profited from the picks round more than we expected to though. The lack of features means this slot game won’t be for everyone but it’s highly volatile which will appeal to many.

For some simple, horror chills the Vampire Princess of Darkness does the job well enough. If vampires are your thing, Blood Queen by Iron Dog Studio and Blood Suckers II by Net Entertainment will more than suffice.
