Playtech has kept to the comic book roots rather than recent film incarnations when it comes to the design of the Justice League Comic online slot game. On the reels you’ll see A to J symbols alongside Aquaman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Super Man. The Man of Steel is the top payer, awarding 1, 8 or 40 times your stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline.
Wild pays up to 400 x stake per payline
Potentially far more rewarding than the standard symbols is the wild. This replaces all the standard symbols and pays 4, 40 or 400 times your stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
3 villain bonus features
Justice League comes with 3 mini bonus features. These are triggered by landing the Bonus symbol in a single payline on reels 1, 2 and 3 on the same spin. Pick one to reveal which feature you’ll receive:
- Mystery Symbol Bonus feature - trigger this and a respin is awarded. The first 3 reels will be filled with giant 3x3 mega symbols including 1 block of mystery symbols that can all transform into the same matching symbol.
- Moving Wild Bonus feature - the Bonus symbols from the triggering spin turn into wilds. A respin then follows with the wilds shifting 1 position to the left. A 2x multiplier is also in play. The process is then repeated with further shifts, respins and multipliers that increase to 3x and then 5x.
- Coin Respin Bonus feature - land this Bonus and you’ll get a streak respin. The symbols from the triggering spin are replaced by coins with cash values attached or 2x multipliers. The reels then spin again. If a new coin or multiplier land, the process is repeated. The round continues until all the positions are filled or your first winless spin. The coin amounts are then added together, boosted by any multipliers on view.
10, Free spins with multipliers
Land 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols and you’ll receive 10, 15 or 20 free spins in the Free Games feature. These play out on an expanded 4 row machine that takes the paylines from 25 up to 40. You’ll start with a 1x or 2x multiplier. Land 2 or more scatters on the same spin to add extra free spins or more Bonus symbols. 3 scatters gets a full retrigger of 10 extra free spins. It also increases the multiplier by 1x.
You can trigger the 3 Bonus features during the Free Games feature too (by getting 3 bonus symbols). The multipliers can combine with the Free Games multiplier to boost payouts by up to 16x in the Moving Wild Bonus feature.
DC Super Heroes jackpots
Justice League Comic is part of the DC Super Heroes network so you’ll have the chance to land 1 of 4 potential progressive prizes. The round triggers at random. Then pick matching icons to win the Mini, Minor, Major or Grand Jackpots. The latter will offer you a minimum of £200,000 and has reached well over £1 million before.
Impressive all-rounder
Justice League Comic might not have the visual wow factor of the previous Justice League slot game (visually) but the gameplay is very well put together. There’s more than enough variety to keep things fresh and the bonus features and free spins can deliver some top action.
Landing a screen full of wilds will result in a 10,000 times stake payout – do this in the Free Games feature and it goes up to 16,000 times your stake as there’s 15 more paylines.
