First there are free spins which are triggered when the ghoulish apparition of Scrooge's former partner, Jacob Marley appears on the reels. Once three appear anyone on the reels you'll be given the option of choosing 1 Marley symbol which will determine the number of free spins and the level of multiplier. It's possible to get up to 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier.
Find 3 or more Marley scatters during free spins and you'll be awarded another 10 free games. There's no limit to the number of times this can be triggered. The free spins aren't the only present on offer in Ghosts of Christmas. It also comes with a Bonus feature which becomes active when 3 or more Clock Bonus symbols appear consecutively on a payline.
Once triggered, you'll be offered one of three randomly chosen games based on the ghosts of Christmas, past, present or yet to come. Scrooge acts as the wild and is the biggest paying symbol. Find 5 in an active payline and you'll be in line for a very unScrooge-like payout of 10,000 times your line bet. Dickens' classic tale is one of the most popular Christmas stories and Playtech have made a pretty good stab at keeping faithful to the original. The images and animation are impressive with the action on the reels accompanied by a festive soundtrack.
Ghosts of Christmas is of course a very time specific slot. You're not likely to be playing it when packing for your summer hols.
