Lucky Staxx: 40 Lines Slot

Playson goes back to basics in Lucky Staxx: 40 Lines. This super straightforward fruit machine is played using a 5 reel, 4 row (you’ve guessed it!) 40 payline game engine. It doesn’t offer any features but does come with stacked wilds and scatter payouts of up to 400 times your total stake. Play on all devices from between 20p and £100 per spin.

The set up in Lucky Staxx: 40 Lines is as simple as you’ll find anywhere. The dark green reels feature a selection of classic fruit machine imagery. At the bottom of the payout food chain are the cherries, lemons, oranges and plums which award 4.5 times your stake if you land 5 on 1 of the game’s 40 paylines.

Next come the grapes and melons. These pay up to 20 times your stake. They’re followed by the bell which tolls to the tune of 15 times your stake. The most rewarding of the standard symbols is the lucky red 7. If you manage to find 5 in a row then you can look forward to a payday of 25 times your stake.

Helping to create winning combinations is the 4-leaf clover which is the game’s wild. This can land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatter. The wild spins in full stacks and can fill reels or better still multiple reels.

The scatter is the gold star. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these anywhere on the screen on the same spin and you’ll pocket a payout of 2, 20 or 400 times your total stake. That’s your lot as far as gameplay goes though. There aren’t any features on offer here at all. All of the action comes in the base game.

This is a very basic game. It can still pack a decent payout punch though as the variance is in the medium to high range with maximum payouts of 1,000 times your stake on each spin. If you like slot game with back story and bonus features, then you’ll want to give Lucky Staxx: 40 Lines a wide berth. Fans of classic fruity machine action might find it of interest. It’s not something we’ll be rushing to play again though. I would opt for Playson’s Wild Warriors instead.
