As usual for a Playson slot game, the design here is nicely done. A hill shrouded in mist and fluttering banners form the backdrop to the reels. There you’ll find lower value A to 10 royal values as well as a black panther and the 4 Wild Warriors. These female fighters come with spears, daggers, swords and crossbows. The best of the quartet is the blonde with the mighty swords who offers up to 1.6 times your stake per payline.
Helping to create the winners is the Wild Warriors logo which is the wild. This can appear fully stacked and can hit on all 5 reels. The wild substitutes for everything bar the scatter and offers awards of up to 33.33 times your stake per payline.
Wild Warriors comes with a Free Spins feature - it’s triggered by landing the shield scatter. Landing 7, 8 or 9 of them on the middle 3 reels on the same spin and you’ll receive 8, 12 or 25 free spins as well as a payout equal to 2 times your total stake. Dominating the action here are the 4 Wild Women. These higher value symbols all spin in Colossal blocks during the free spins round. Those blocks can be 2x2 or even 3x3 which can mean you can build some impressive combinations.
There’s nothing especially complex about Wild Warriors either in terms of design or gameplay. The visuals are well constructed though and the Colossal symbols can really come into their own during the feature. It’s volatile enough to keep things interesting too. The variance is on the high side of medium with top payouts of 673 times your stake on every spin/free spin.
We enjoyed this straightforward fantasy adventure. It looks and plays very nicely. If you enjoy the fantasy theme, then a date with the Wild Warriors is recommended. I would also personally also try Avalon II from Microgaming and Dragon Champions from Playtech.
