There’s a madcap feel to the design in Respin Racer. The setting is as rocky American highway. Joining the lower value royals are a cavalcade of cartoon animal bikers and the racy Road Runner. Appearing on reels 2 and 4 only, the leather-clad kangaroo riding a chopper is the wild. You can pay the ante if you wish which brings the wild into play on the middle reel too. Land a wild in the base game and it expands to fill the whole of the reel.
You can see symbols edged in gold on reels 1 and 5. Fill both of those outer reels with gold-edged symbols and you’ll trigger the game’s Respin Bonus feature. Reels 1 and 5 turn into stacked Road Runners and reels 2, 3 and 4 spin again 3 times. If a wild kangaroo lands on those respins, then the tally resets to 3.
You could end up with 9 respins if the wilds fall nicely, 12 if you’re playing with the ante active. If you triggered the respins round with gold Road Runners on reels 1 and 5, then you’ll also bring multipliers into play. These can boost payouts by 2x or 3x. They can combine too to deliver potential boosts of 9x.
This cartoon road trip is a silly one. The design is nicely done and has an anarchic feel. The gameplay is a little unusual so a few spins in demo mode are recommended. Silly it might be but Respin Racer is also volatile. Expect some spells as dry as the Arizona desert. If the Road Runner works its multiplier magic, it can deliver wins of 11,250 times your stake on every respin.
