The set up in Legends of New York is pretty basic - the reels include A to 9 royal values as well as a hatching baby crocodile, a New York cop with nightstick, a yellow taxi and a subway train. Most lucrative of the standard symbols is the full-grown croc which offers awards 5 times your stake if you land 5 on adjacent reels.
The Legends of New York logo is the game’s wild - it also offers payouts of up to 5 times your total stake and replaces all other symbols bar the scatter. The compass is that scatter. It offers payouts of 5, 10 or 50 times your total stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on the same spin. Finding 3 or more scatters also activates the Free Games feature.

Legends of New York is a simple game, both in looks and the way it plays. The base game action is pretty pedestrian in fact. There’s more potential on offer in the feature round though thanks to the wild multipliers.
We’ve not be overly impressed with some of Ainsworth’s slot games. This is one of the developer’s better ones. The design doesn’t offer much in the way of thrills and base game is ordinary. It’s certainly no world beater but the free spins and multipliers make the Legends of New York worth a quick spin.
