The design here is pretty good for Novomatic. We’re not in ELK Studios or Thunderkick territory but the visuals are a step up from many a Novomatic game. The reel are set against the ocean horizon. A giant statue of Neptune overlooks the reels.

They include multipliers of up to 10x, any of reels 1, 2, 4 or 5 will turn wild or a symbol will be randomly chosen and cover between 4 and 9 positions to create a new winning combination. Land a combined Neptune/Mermaid symbol on reel and another 2 free spins will be added to your total.
You can also land the 4-9 overlay symbols at random on any base game spin. These aren’t the choppiest waters you’ll spin in as far as volatility goes. In fact, the variance is in the medium range which offers a balance of payouts – you can win up to 500 times your stake on every free spin.
Legends of the Seas is a very straightforward game. The design is perfectly satisfactory and there’s a sweeping epic score which is a nice change from the standard Novomatic offering. The main potential comes in the Free Games feature where the multiplier, wild and overlay symbols can stir up plenty of action.
Greek myth and the ocean are popular themes - Novomatic has combined them nicely in Legends of the Seas which is a simple yet enjoyable take on classic themes. Alternatively, the more volatile Lord of the Ocean from Novomatic is highly recommended despite being around for a while.
