Jackpot Raiders Slot

As Alan Partridge might ask, what are the best Raiders? The Raiders of the Lost Ark? American football outlaws the Oakland Raiders? The correct answer is of course, pickled onion flavoured Space Raiders. So where does Jackpot Raiders, a slot game release from Yggdrasil Gaming, fit on that heady list?

It’s a 5 reel, 20 payline slot game that comes with a variety of free spin rounds complete with multipliers. There’s also a pick and click round, a treasure hunt bonus where you can vary your risk and reward ratio and 5 potential jackpot prizes. Play on all devices from between 10p and £40 per spin.

The setting here is a treasure hunter’s ship. On the reels you’ll find playing card suit symbols as well as a rucksack, a hat and knife and a pair of adventures called Bear and Sam. The latter is the top paying symbol, awarding 3.5, 12.5 or 200 times your stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline. There are plenty of extras on offer in this adventurous slot game.

If you get 2 scatters, you are taken to the Pick & Click Chest feature - choose a chest to reveal a prize of between 1 and 4 times your stake, a spin of the compass to trigger the Treasure Hunt Bonus feature or Jackpot Free Spins feature or a random map which goes towards a free spins trigger (more on each feature below).

If you enter the Jackpot Free Spins feature, you will get 10 free spins with a trebling multiplier. You can also collect 5 identical gems to win the prizes who above the reel – this is known as The Jackpots feature. The other way in is to collect 5 gems of the same colour in the Sunken Treasure Free Games feature (more info below). The jackpots can give you the following:

  • Minimum of £40 for the Forgotten Jackpot
  • Minimum of £200 for the Rare Jackpot
  • Minimum of £600 for the Mythical Jackpot
  • Minimum of £1,500 for the Ancient Jackpot
  • Minimum of £15,000 for the Legendary Jackpot

Land 3 or more scatters on the same spin to trigger The Compass feature. A compass will then spin. Depending on where the pointer lands, it will award 1 of the following features (as well as a 50 or 500 times stake payout if you land 4 or 5 scatters on the triggering spin):

Treasure Hunt Bonus feature - first pick either Bear who offers lower rewards but a high success rate or Sam who delivers bigger rewards but riskier play. You’ll then try and cross a number of bridges. In each case, you’ll be offered a safe, risky or very risky route with increasing awards on offer from each.

Your adventurer can also collect relics and maps to unlock the Sunken Treasure Free Games feature – you need to collect all 5 relics to enter. With 10 free spins awarded, they all come with a 10x multiplier as well as 1 gem for each of the 5 jackpots. Collect 5 of the same colour to win the relevant progressive jackpot (details above).

It took us a while to work out all the different features on offer here. There’s plenty of variety and the way they are triggered is a little unusual. We’d recommend a few play money spins if you can. There’s lots to like about Jackpot Raiders once you have got your eye in.

The design is excellent and the bonus features are top notch. We landed the Treasure Hunt Bonus feature far more regularly than the free spins features. This round can still deliver plenty of action though. Bar the progressive jackpots, your chances of winning big will come from the 10x multiplier in the Sunken Treasure Free Games feature which can lead to payouts of 4,100 times your stake on each free spin.

This theme is hugely popular with slot game developers. Yggdrasil Gaming have come up trumps with Jackpot Raiders which is a very playable and entertaining game. If you want adventure, Microgaming deliver with Lara Croft: Temples and Tombs.
