The design in Galactic Streak is simple but very tastefully done. On the reels you’ll see 8 brightly coloured planet symbols. The best of these are the purple and ringed orange planets which pay 2.5 times your stake if you land 3 or 4 in combination. Winning combinations can be made from right to left as well as left to right. The flaming sun is the wild. This replaces everything bar the scatter and pays up to 12.5 times your stake. The galaxy symbol is the scatter.
After a winning combination hits, a multiplier is awarded to that position (not the specific symbols, just the position). These are in play for the next 3 spins and start at 2x. If you land a new winning combination on a multiplier position, that multiplier increases by 1.
The number of respins the new multiplier is in play resets to 3 too. Multipliers in each position can reach up to 10x. Land a winning combination on 2 or more multipliers and those multipliers are added together which can lead to some potentially explosive results. This is known as the Orbit feature.
Land 2 of the galaxy scatters on the same spin and all the multipliers on show increase by 1. If you manage to hit 3 scatters on the same spin, you’ll trigger the Galactic Free Games feature and with it 10 free spins. Any multipliers on show on the triggering spin are carried forward to the free spins. They lock in place and can only increase. Any wilds that land during the feature round lock in position for the free spin that follows.
Galactic Streak is a simple slot game but a very playable one. The minimalist design works well, backed by an ambient backing track. The gameplay is quite repetitive but none the worse for that. It reminded us a little of Net Entertainment’s Starburst in fact with multipliers central to the action rather than respins. We found plenty to like about Galactic Streak. If you enjoy the space theme, then this is one interstellar adventure you won’t want to miss.
