The design here has a familiar look. The visuals are almost identical to the original Diamond Mine Megaways slot. Set against a desert canyon backdrop, the reels are made up of wild west style A to 9 royals as well as spades and pickaxes, lanterns and the bearded miner.
The pick of the standard symbols is the diamond which pays 2, 5, 10, 25 or 50 times your stake if you land 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 on adjacent reels. The dynamite symbol is the wild. This appears in the 4 reel positions at the top of the screen and substitutes for all the standard symbols.
Up to 117,649 Megaways
The number of symbols on each reel changes with each spin. This alters the number of active Megaways. The more symbols on each reel, the more Megaways are live. If all 6 reels are at their full size with 7 symbols on each, you’ll have 117,649 ways to create a winning combination. To get a win, you need matching symbols on adjacent reels beginning from reel 1.
Cascading Reels
Like many Megaways slots, Diamond Mine Extra Gold Megaways uses Cascading Reels technology. Land a winner and the successful symbols are removed and new ones drop in from above and replace them. The cascades keep on coming as long as a new winning combination is formed.
Mystery Symbols
There are a couple of other extras well worth noting here. Keep an eye out for the TNT barrels. All instances of these that land on the same spin transform into the same symbol. A new payout calculation then follows with the matching symbols active.
Free spins
The other main feature on offer here is the Free Spins feature. It’s triggered by landing 4 or more of the bag of gold scatter symbol anywhere on the same spin. A minimum 4 scatters award 12 free spins with 17 or 22 awarded if you land 5 or 6 scatters.
Free Spins Gamble feature
If you’re feeling lucky you can try and improved your free spins allocation bay taking a gamble. Spin the bonus wheel. If the pointer falls in a green segment, you’ll get more free spins. The number drops if the pointer drops in a red segment. Of course, just click collect if you want to play the number of free spins awarded and avoid the gamble.
Free spins multiplier
Each successive cascade win during the free spins round increases a multiplier by 1x in the Unlimited Win Multiplier feature. There no cap on how this multiplier can potentially go. If it ain’t broke…
This sequel is very similar to the original Diamond Mine Megaways. The main difference is the gamble element to the free spins. The RTP is the same at 96.43%, as is the top payout of 10,000 x stake per spin or free spin. The visuals are simply done but the county and western style backing track got our toes tapping.
