Wild Robo Factory Slot

The machines have taken over in Wild Robo Factory, a 5 reel, 25 payline slot game from Yggdrasil Gaming. This android-inspired adventure is an unusual one. Symbols appear on conveyor belts rather than dropping into play. Look out for symbol swaps, respins and free spins. Play on all devices from between 25p and £125 per spin.

As usual for an Yggdrasil Gaming-powered slot game, the design here is very high-end. The setting is a robot factory. On the conveyor belt reels, you’ll see mechanical servant symbols. Joining the servants are 3 Robo symbols.

Robo Wilds - these can appear in a variety of sizes ranging from single symbols to 2x4. When they land, the Robo Respin feature comes into play where a respin is awarded with the Robo Wild moving 1 position to the left on the conveyor belt with each spin.

2x Robo Wilds - these act just the same as the standard Robo Wilds except they come with a 2x multiplier attached when it forms part of a winning combination.

Free Spin Robo - this 1x1 symbol can fly anywhere on the reels. It also awards a respin then shifts along the conveyor belt.

Robo Free Spins feature - these are triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 of the Free Spin Robos on the same spin. Instead of a specific number of free spins, you’ll instead be awarded a number of Robos which shift along the conveyor belt.

  • 3 free spin symbols = 5 Robos
  • 4 free spin symbols = 10 Robos
  • 5 free spin symbols = 15 Robos

The Robos are placed 1-3 spaces apart then shift along the conveyor belt. The free spins keep on coming until all the Robos have dropped off the left of the reels.

You could also benefit from a System Overload feature during the free spins round. This triggers at random and reverses the direction of the conveyor belt, moving all Robos back by between 1 and 9 positions. This effectively gives you extra free spins.

The other extra on offer here is the Symbol Swap feature. All instances of 1 of the lower value symbols can transform into the same higher value symbol. A new payout calculation then follows with the transformed symbols in place.

The rather unorthodox game engine makes Wild Robo Factory quite an unusual slot game. It’s a good one though. Well designed as you’d expect from Yggdrasil Gaming, it comes with innovative extras. As far as variance goes, we’re in the medium range with top wins of 2,878 times your stake if you include the 2x Robo Wild. If you like the factory setting, EggOMatic from Net Entertainment is quite similar but has eggs along the conveyor belt.
