Trolls Bridge Slot

Scandinavian developer Yggdrasil Gaming takes its first steps into the realms of fantasy in Trolls Bridge. It’s a 5 reel, 20 payline slot game that comes with the usual high design standards as well as plenty of features. They include free spins with added wilds and multipliers, a magic pot that delivers free spins and coin prizes and a bonus stone that awards coins and multipliers. Play from 20p to 25p and £200 to £250 per spin on all devices.

Trolls Bridge maintains Yggdrasil Gaming’s usual high spec when it comes to design. Joining the lower value playing card suit symbols are a quartet of cartoon trolls - the best of these pays up to 250 coins per payline. There’s also a single standard wild in the base game. Trigger the Free Spins Bonus feature and there could be 4 of them in play. There are 2 other symbols to look out for, both of which can trigger a special extra:

Bonus Stone feature - this can appear at random in the base game. If it features on a winning spin, the payout will be boosted by a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. If it’s a losing spin, you’ll get a consolation prize bonus of 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 coins.

Bonus Pot feature - this symbol appears on reel 5 only. When it does, you’ll win 1 of the following prizes. 40, 100, 200, 500, 1,000 coins or 6, 8 or 10 free spins with 3, 4 or 5 feature picks. Before the free spins begin, you’ll be taken to a new screen and given a choice of 18 cards, behind which lie the following extras.

  • + 2-3 Free Spins
  • 1-2 random wilds each free spin
  • 1 sticky wild on reels 2-4
  • 1 Troll becomes Wild
  • 2x multiplier on all wins
  • 1 Troll becomes Super-Stacked

The more picks you get, the better the more modifier extras are in play during the feature.

As well as via the Bonus Pot feature, you can also trigger the Free Spins Bonus feature by landing 3 or more free spins scatters on the same spin. 3, 4 or 5 scatters will get you 6, 8 or 10 free spins plus 3, 4 or 5 feature picks.

You can add to the number of feature picks by opting to play with the Golden Bet feature active - this will cost extra per spin (at minimum stakes, it goes up from 20p to 25p per spin). When you do trigger the feature, 1 extra feature pick is allocated.

There’s much like about Trolls Bridge - the visuals have a Warcraft feel and are very nicely done. Expect plenty of variety on from the range of bonus features too where the feature picks help spice up the action. The variance here is in the medium range so expect plenty of smaller wins and occasional biggies.

Yggdrasil Gaming has come up trumps once again here, combining classy design with some innovative extras. Combined, it makes Trolls Bridge a very playable and entertaining slot game. If you like the fantasy theme, I recommend Avalon II from Microgaming or Kingdom of Legend from Novomatic.
