The setting for Bicicleta is a futuristic looking football stadium - symbols on the reels include playing card suit symbols alongside a quartet of footballers (with typically bad footballer hair!). All of them can appear as stacked and fill up multiple positions on the same reel. They're joined by a wild which will replace everything bar the trophy and free spins symbols.
When the trophy symbol lands on reel 5 in the base game, it will offer 1 of 2 bonus prizes. Either coin win of at least 50 and up to 1,000 coins or 8-12 free spins.
The other way to trigger the Free Spins feature is to land 3 or more free spins symbols anywhere in view. Do it this way and the number of free spins on offer will be 8, 16 or 24 depending on how many scatters activated the feature. There are no standard wilds on show during the feature.
Don't despair though as the player symbols on the reels will try and score a goal when they land. If they hit the back of the net, the player will transform into a wild and will be frozen in place for the remainder of the feature.

Sporting themed slot games are usually hit and miss affairs - it's hard for developers to conjure up the excitement and atmosphere created at a really big football match. Yggdrasil Gaming have given it a pretty good stab though. The roars certainly sounds like a proper game and the visuals aren't bad either.
And what of the features? We found them quite hard to come by, hitting the post on a number of occasions. You can get stuck in when you do land the free spins though, especially if you manage to get a good selection of player wilds and the stacked reels. I found it to be a high variance game.
