WMS has created a very good looking slot game in Ultimate Ink. The action takes place in a tattoo parlour. Joining the lower value royals on the reels are anchors and hearts which pay 0.5, 2 or 3 times your stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on adjoining reels.
Next come the sailing ship and the sweetheart which pay 1.25, 2.5 or 3.75 times your stake. The most rewarding standard symbol is the skull. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these in combination and you’ll pocket 1.25, 2.5, 3.75 or 7.5 times your stake. Helping to create the winners is the cards and dice symbol which is the wild. This appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and performs all the usual substituting functions.
There’s only 1 extra in Ultimate Ink, the Free Spins feature, but it can be well worth landing. It’s triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 of the Ultimate Ink logo scatter on the same spin. After a payout of 2, 10 or 20 times your stake, you’ll then go on to play 8, 15 or 20 free spins.
Land a winner that includes a wild and the payout will be boosted by 2x or 3x. Land more than 1 wild in the same winner and the multipliers are added together. Re-triggers are possible too. We enjoyed Ultimate Ink. The visuals and the guitar-heavy backing track are excellent and the Free Spins feature is a good one too. There’s nothing on offer here that you won’t have seen in plenty of other slot games though. The unusual theme works well though. It’s not tempted us to get a tat done but Ultimate Ink is simple but entertaining addition. I would rather play Book of Relics (also by Red 7 Mobile and WMS) as it offers the jackpots as well as wins of 5,000 times your stake on each free spin.
