The design of Tom Horn Gaming created games can be a little hit and miss. Geisha’s Fan is very much a hit. The visuals here are delightfully done. With a traditional Japanese palace and garden in the background, the purple reels feature lower value A to 10 letter characters as well as a lotus flower and umbrella, both of which offer awards of up to 41 times your stake per payline.
Next is the gold pot which pays up to 111 times your stake. Comfortably the best paying standard symbol is the Geisha. Land 5 of her in combination and you can look forward to a payout of 277 times your stake.
The hand fan serves a dual purpose. As well as being a wild and replacing all other symbols, it also acts as the scatter. Land 3, 4 or 5 of them and you’ll pocket a payout equal to 2, 20 or 200 times your total stake. You’ll also trigger the game’s Free Spins feature.
Once triggered you’ll receive 10 free spins. Before these free spins begin, 1 symbol will be chosen at random. Whenever this symbol lands, it will expand and fill the whole of that reel. You can re-trigger another round of free spins if you manage to land 3 scatters on the same spin.
The gameplay in Geisha’s Fan is pretty typical of a Tom Horn Gaming-powered game. There isn’t a huge range of extras on offer but the Free Spins feature offer some very decent potential thanks to the expanding symbols. If that is a high value symbol, the coins can quickly mount.
The design here is as good as you’ll find anywhere. The visuals are super sharp and there’s a traditional Japanese-style soundtrack playing while you spin. No complaints there. It’s a high variance game with wins of 5,000 times your stake on offer from each spin.
As we’ve already said, there isn’t a huge amount of variety here. If you enjoy quality design, simple gameplay and super high volatility then Geisha’s Fan is certainly worth a spin.
