Toki Time Slot

Strange, antler-sporting creatures are the unlikely stars of Toki Time, a surreal, 5 reel, 11 payline slot game from Thunderkick. These mini-monsters comes with win both ways payouts as well as expanding wilds with re-spins. Play from between 10p and £100 per spin.

Thunderkick games mean quality design and that's what's on offer in Toki Time - we may have no idea what planet the designers were on when they came up with the concept but the images all look as lovely as usual. Set against a Teletubbies style backdrop, the reels include 5, brightly coloured creatures alongside a smiley sun and chirpy cloud. 5 of the latter will net you a payout of 24 times your total stake. Instead of spinning round on traditional reels, the symbols are blasted from pod-like creations below. All the symbols can land as fully stacked.

The strange, sheep like creature with antlers is the game's wild - it appears on reels 2 and 4 and when it hits will turn into an expanded wild and fill the whole reel in which it appears. You'll also be awarded a free re-spin with the stacked wild frozen in place. The reels continue to spin until there's a spin without a winner.

The range of features may be limited (with no free spins) but don't be mistaken into thinking that this is a boring game - the win both ways game engine throws up plenty of action, as do the expanding wilds which come along at regular intervals.

As far as volatility goes, we'd put Toki Time in the low to medium range - expect plenty of lower level wins from these strange floating creatures. Every once in a while they'll surprise you and deliver something far more special (usually courtesy of the stacked wilds and re-spins).

The design is as fresh and crisp as usual from Thunderkick - the choice of features may not be large but the limited selection keeps the pace flowing at a decent gallop. We've played this slot a few times now and still have no idea about the bizarre theme. Don't worry about that though. Just enjoy the lovely visuals, go with the re-spins flow and you'll find plenty to enjoy here. If you like unique concepts, Thunderkick’s Barber Shop Uncut is superb.

As usual, the designers have created a cracking looking and sounding slot - the features aren't especially innovative but they do the job perfectly well. For some well-crafted, futuristic looking action, you won't go wrong with Flux. I would also suggest you take a look at Starburst by Net Entertainment which has a similar feel.
