Quickspin is 1 of the leading games developers when it comes to design and they haven’t let us down here - this is a fine- looking slot game. A canyon, with a railroad on 1 side and rocks and cactus, forms the backdrop to the reels. Joining the lower value playing cards are sacks of loot and a gang of gun-toting outlaws.
2 of these are wild – known as massive wild symbols. The brigand with the red neckerchief can land on reels 2 and 3 with the outlaw with the revolver landing on reels 4 and 5. Both of these wild symbols can land in either part or full stacks on their respective reels. If they land fully stacked, they’ll turn 10 symbol positions wild!
They play their part in the Free Spins Bonus feature which is triggered when you land a Bonus symbol (the steam train) plus a giant wild on the same spin. You’ll then be awarded 7 free spins. That doesn’t sound like much but there are some extra goodies thrown into the mix to spice things up. Any wilds that land are frozen in position for the duration of the feature. Needless to say, if you land both giant wilds some potentially massive payouts are possible.
As you’d hope given the theme, Sticky Bandits is a high-octane affair. The giant wilds are central to the action and that’s especially the case in the feature round. Land a full stack of sticky wilds then land part or even all of the second giant wild and some great winning chances are on offer – in fact, up to 3,000 times your stake on each free spin!
The design here is as a slick as we’ve come to expect from Quickspin. The graphics are superbly drawn, the animation silky smooth and there’s a classic spaghetti western-style backing track blasting away in the background as you spin. We’re not really fans of movie westerns but Sticky Bandits certainly piqued our interest. With it high-end design and innovative features, this is 1 railroad heist we’re happy to recommend.
