Pragmatic Play has kept things pretty straightforward in Ancient Egypt Classic. That’s true of both the design and gameplay. The action takes place within the interior of a palace or pyramid. With hieroglyph-filled pillars to either side, the reels are made up of lower value royal symbols plus a selection of traditional Egyptian-themed symbols.
High value Cleopatra symbol
In order of value are the Eye of Horus and the ankh cross which both offer payouts of up to 75 times your stake per payline. The dog god Anubis follows, awarding up to 200 times your bet per line. The Egyptian queen Cleopatra is the best paying symbol, awarding 1, 10, 100 or 500 times your total stake if you land 2, 3, 4 or 5 on 1 of the game’s 10 paylines.
Free Spins feature
The standard symbols are joined by a golden scarab beetle. This serves a dual role, acting as both the wild and the bonus-triggering scatter. Special expanding symbol with unlimited retriggers
Before the free spins begin, a coffin opens and a symbol is chosen at random. When this symbol lands during the free games it expands and fills the whole of the reels if that leads to a new winning combo. The special expanding symbols don’t have to be on adjoining reels to create a winner either. You can also retrigger the feature countless times.

Ancient Egypt Classic is a very simple take on an old favourite theme. The glossy visuals are nicely done though and the soundtrack is a good fit for the theme. The gameplay is rather basic too. The best chances come in the Free Spins feature, especially if you manage to land a high value expanding symbol – it can lead to wins of 5,000 times your stake on every free spin.
