The Six Million Dollar Man Slot

Created by games developer Playtech in association with TV and movie producer Universal Pictures, The Six Million Dollar Man is a 5 reel, 50 payline video slot based on the hit 1970s TV show. It comes with stacked wilds, free spins and a Bionic Spin feature where you can pay more on each spin and add a selection of extra wilds to the reels. Stakes range from between 50p and £250 per spin.

The first thing to notice are the visuals which are quite different from many other slots. The reels are set on a 1970s style-computer terminal and include characters from the cult-TV show as well as a series of x-ray and medical instruments. These symbols, along with Secret Service agent Oscar Goldman can all appear stacked. The playing card symbols are done ZX Spectrum style and have a nice blocky look. Tying in with the cult classic feel is a funky 1970s soundtrack as well as sound effects and clips from the TV show.

The Six Million Dollar Man (played by Lee Majors – who was better in The Fall Guy truth be told!) is the game's wild and substitutes for all symbols apart from the scatter - he too can appear stacked on all reels. He's by far the biggest payer too, offering jackpots of 4,000 times your line bet if you manage to find a 5 symbol combination. Like the Oscar Goldman symbol, you only need to find 2 to create a (small) win.

The Six Million Dollar Man logo is the scatter - find 3 or more to trigger 15 free spins. During the feature, you'll be hoping to hit the foot, elbow and eye x-rays in that order as extra wilds will be added to the stacked wilds already on the reels. You'll also receive 2 bonus spins.

The other main feature on offer in The Six Million Dollar Man is the Bionic Spin feature - during the base game you can up your bet by 50% (e.g. from 50p to 75p) and in return up to 5 extra wilds will be added to the reels boosting the chances of finding a winning payline.

There's nothing particularly earth shattering about The Six Million Dollar Man slot - the sound and visuals are innovative and impressive and the there's a decent array of features on offer. It's low variance so you'll get plenty of play for your bankroll. That's not to say you can't win big - the maximum payout is 500,000 coins after all.

Like the TV show, The Six Million Dollar Man offers a steady slice of entertainment, especially for players of a certain age. Saying that, I much prefer playing other branded slots and I recommend Dracula by NetEnt or Jurassic Park by Microgaming which are better games in my opinion.
