Like the rest of the slot games in this series, Batman & Mr Freeze Fortune looks and sounds terrific. Once again it's the 60s incarnation of Batman who is the star of the show. He's joined on the reels by Robin and Mr Freeze, all of whom can land stacked. Rounding out the symbols are a baterang, Batman's utility belt, a statue, hotline to Wayne Mansion, ray gun, Batmobile and helicopter. Very impressive it all looks too.
The game is played using a 1,024 ways to win game engine with winning combinations formed when the same symbol lands on adjacent reels. You'll notice a cross that sits right in the middle of the reels - this is Mr Freeze's Polar Prize Vault. It's blank most of the time but when it unfreezes, it will randomly deliver 1 of 4 in-reel features. On offer are:
- Multiplier Wild feature - wins that include a wild will receive a payout boost of up to 5x.
- Win Multiplier feature - all payouts, regardless of whether or not they include a wild, will receive a multiplier of anything up to 10x (the lowest being 3x).
- Mr Freeze Symbol Transformation feature - a symbol is chosen at random. All instances of that symbol on the reels are transformed into the higher value Mr Freeze, offering a chance of bagging a bigger win.
- Wild Mr Freeze Spins feature - all wilds on the reels will be frozen and you'll be awarded re-spins until you land a winning combo.
Batman & Mr Freeze Fortune also comes with the Batman vs Mr Freeze Free Games feature - land 3, 4 or 5 Bonus scatters anywhere on the reels and you'll be awarded 10, 12 or 15 free spins. These are played on a new set of reels that offers 2,400 ways to win.
Mr Freeze's Polar Prize Vault isn't in play during the feature but extra symbols are added to boost your winning chances. Look out for the wilds during your free spins as they will boost payouts with multipliers that can reach 5x. If you get more than 1 wild, they will be multiplied together – i.e. a 2x and 3x multiplier wild will give you a 6x multiplier.

We've really enjoyed Playtech's take on the classic Batman series and the latest offering with Mr Freeze is another cracker. The visuals are as high end as you'd hope, accompanied by a cheesy organ soundtrack. There's plenty to enjoy as far as features go too.
Mr Freeze's Polar Prize Vault opens for business at regular intervals to keep the base game pace high. The Batman vs Mr Freeze Free Games feature is a corker too thanks to the expanded game engine and wild multipliers. Mr Freeze may not be the best known of the Caped Crusader's adversaries but he proves to be a very able foil in this superhero adaptation which offers plenty of high camp entertainment and winning potential.
