Troll Hunters is a visual treat - the reels are filled with a selection of Norse-inspired symbols. Look out for assorted blonde plaited Viking ladies, earrings, beer mugs and hunks of meat. The imagery has a slight cartoonish feel and is superbly drawn. There's no playing card filler here. The golden Rune is the wild, substituting for all other symbols. The action plays out against a snowy, mountain backdrop with a thunderous soundtrack blasting away in the background.
Troll Hunters plays out using cascading reels rather than a traditional payline structure - wins are built when you find 3 or more symbols in a row, either vertically or horizontally. If there is a winning combination in show, those symbols will be crushed and disappear from the screen to be replaced by the symbols directly above, apart from the middle symbol in each winning combination which will be turned into a wild symbol for the next spin.
The cascades will keep on coming as long as there's a winning combination on the screen, without eating into your paid spins. The cascades come with an expanding multiplier which you can keep track of via the meter to the left of the reels.

Troll Hunters offers a quality combination of visuals and action - the graphics and animation are top drawer and the features aren't too shabby either. The cascading reels keep the action flowing at a rapid rate and the bonus round hits at regular intervals.
