The action here takes place on a giant 7x7 grid - you’ll see 8 different alien symbols on the reels. The simple, 1-eyed creatures offer lower value payouts with the 2-eyed beasts delivering the bigger rewards. Winning combinations are created by landing clusters of 5 or more of the same symbol. The best of them is the buck-toothed purple alien who awards 750 times your stake if you land 15 or more in a cluster.
The game is played using cascading reels - winning symbols are removed and new ones drop in to take their place. These re-spin cascades continue as long as a new winner is created.
Every time you land a winner, it will charge up 1 of the meters to the side of the reels. When a meter is filled, 1 of the following extras is moved to the front of the queue. That modifier extra goes live when you have a winless cascade. Here’s what’s on offer:
- Implosion feature - this turns between 3 to 6 symbols into wilds. All of the adjacent symbols are destroyed too.
- Alteration feature - 1 of the 1-eyed aliens is chosen at random. All instances of this symbol are transformed into the same matching symbol.
- Demolition feature - when this is triggered, all 1-eyed symbols and all matching symbols are destroyed.
- Incision feature - a wild symbol in the centre is chopped in half to create a pair of intersecting diagonal lines. Both lines will show the same randomly added symbol.
There are 5 meters in all - when all of them are charged, the Gargantoon feature joins the queue. When this hits, it adds a giant 3x3 wild to the reels. When no more cascades are possible, it morphs into two 2x2 symbols and then nine 1x1 symbols.
The Gargantoon can also randomly add between 4 and 8 wilds on any winless standard spin – this is the Instability feature. Hope to land 2x2 square combinations as they automatically create a Gargantoon. If the Gargantoon forms part of a winner, that payout is doubled. This is the Giantoonz feature.
Finally, look out for a single-eyed alien which is the designated fluctuating symbol on each spin. If these symbols form part of a winner, they leave behind a pair of wilds when destroyed. This is the Fluctuation feature.
