Prissy Princess Slot

Chivalrous knights do battle with not so fearsome dragons and try and win the heart of a fair maiden in Prissy Princess. Powered by Play 'N Go, it's a 5 reel, 20 payline, mediaeval-themed slot game that comes with a tumbling reels game engine, spreading fire wilds and a pick me bonus. Play, on all devices as standard, from between 20p and £100 per spin.

We usually have few complaints when it comes to the design of Play 'N Go slot games and Prissy Princess is another fine-looking affair - set within the turrets of an old castle, each symbol is set within the stone ramparts. Symbols include mediaeval weaponry, suits of armour, shields, swords and face masks.

More valuable are the trio of gallant knights trying to woo the Prissy Princess. The most rewarding of the 3 is the knight with the flower in his teeth who awards 15 times your total bet for a 5-symbol combination. The Prissy Princess is the standard wild and substitute for all other symbols apart from the three bonus symbols. 5 wilds on a payline awards 50 times your total bet.

There are 4 bonus features to look at as far as gameplay is concerned.  First up is the Crumbling Towers feature - after a winning spin, the reels with the successful symbols are removed and a new re-spin takes place. These crumbles and re-spins continue up to 4 times or until there's no new winning combination on show.

Land a winner on the 4th re-spin and you'll win the contents of the Treasure Chest. Here you'll be awarded a multiplier up to 100x of your total bet or better still, a multiplier up to 5x of your total win.

Tournament feature - to trigger this, you'll need to land the 3 bonus scatter symbols (the purple, green and blue flags) on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the same spin. Choose the character who you think will win the contest. The more correct guesses you make, the bigger the prizes on offer with up to 200 times your stake available if you land the hand of the princess.

Dragon's Breath feature is triggered at random and can hit on any winless spin. The dragon will then breathe fire and turn 3 random symbols wild. A new payout is made with the new wilds in place. Land the three knights on the same reel and you’ll trigger the Dragon's Pride feature – the knights will be replaced by a stacked wild dragon. A new payout is mad with the expanded wild in position.

There aren't any free spins on offer unfortunately but the Crumbling Towers (tumbling reels) in the base game mean that there's plenty of action on offer. The other extras offer decent winning potential too. As far as volatility goes, this fire-breathing dragon isn't the hottest you'll see - it sits slap bang in the middle, offering a balance between hit rate and potential wins. Saying that, you can still win over 6,000 times your stake on a spin.

Well design as usual from Play 'N Go, Prissy Princess is another potential crowd pleaser - the lack of free spins aside, there's plenty of action on offer which makes this mediaeval romp worth a closer look. If you like medieval themed offerings, there’s no better than Black Knight II from WMS which is, I warn you, very high variance.
