Gladiators Go Wild Slot

We don’t see many 6 reel slot game that come with just 10 paylines but that’s the rather unusual game engine you’ll find in Gladiators Go Wild. This ancient adventure comes from iSoftBet and the best action appears from the 4 gladiator symbols. Land a full stack of a gladiator and they lock in position and turn wild for the spin that follows. Play on all devices from between 10p and £10 per spin.

Play iSoftBet’s Gladiators Go Wild SlotThe design and gameplay of Gladiators Go Wild are equally straightforward. The comic book-style symbols are set within a pair of gold columns which is nicely in keeping with the ancient theme. The reels are set against a regal purple backdrop. Joining the A to 10 symbols 4 higher paying gladiators. Top of the payers is the bearded gladiator with the gold helmet. Land 3, 4, 5 or 6 of these in combination and you can look forward to an award of 2, 10, 20 or 40 times your stake.

Gladiators Go Wild uses a win both ways game engine. You can create a winning combination that starts from reel 1 or reel 6. This, in theory, means you will win double if wins go from reels 1 through 6.

There’s little in the way of feature rounds but the Gladiator Wilds extra delivers more than enough action to keep the pace ticking along. Land a full stack of the same matching gladiator symbol and it will transform into a wild and then lock in position for the next spin. This is known as the Gladiator Wilds feature.

If you’re lucky enough to land another stack of the same gladiator, then it also become wild. You’ll then have 2 stacked wilds for the spin that follows. In theory you could land a full set of stacked wilds on 1 spin which will remain in place for your next spin – that will give you a total of 1,600 times your stake (800 times stake per spin).

That’s your lot as far as extras go. There aren’t any free spins unfortunately. That might make Gladiators Go Wild seem a little on the dull side. We wouldn’t agree with that verdict though. The stacked wilds provided more than enough thrills.

The design is as stripped back as the gameplay but again it does the job well enough, especially the sweeping orchestral score. It’s not the most flashy or complicated trip to the Coliseum you’ll see. These Gladiators can deliver plenty of action though, especially when they go wild.

If you like the ancient theme, then this is certainly worth a look. I also suggest Champions of Rome from Yggdrasil Gaming and Gladiator Jackpot by Playtech which is based on the iconic film.
