Go diving for treasure in a lost underwater city in Master of Atlantis, a 5 reel, 40 payline slot game from Blueprint Gaming. As usual for a title from this developer, the design here is very high spec. The gameplay is not too shabby either and comes with mystery transforming symbols and a free spins feature where each scatter that lands can pay up to 100 times your stake. Play on all devices from between 50p and £500 per spin.
Set against a sea bed backdrop and the ruins of Atlantis in the background, you’ll see stone-style A to 10 symbols spinning around the reels alongside a pearl, a treasure chest, a shark and a kraken sea monster. The top paying standard symbol is the Master of Atlantis logo. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these on the same payline for a payout of 0.2, 1, 4 or 20 times your total stake.
The Greek letter Omega is the wild. This can land anywhere and substitute for all symbols apart from the scatter (Poseidon). Master of Atlantis comes with 2 extras.
Trident Strike feature – on any spin, Poseidon can fling his trident onto the reels. All of the symbols struck turn into the same matching symbol and a new payout calculation is made.
Poseidon Free Spins feature – this round is triggered by landing 3 or more scatters on the same spin. You’ll then head to a new screen where you’ll play 1, 2 or 3 Trident Spins (this depends on the number of scatters on the triggering spin). This is a streak spin – each scatter that lands locks in position.
When the Trident Spins are over, the scatters are totalled up. The more you land, the bigger the prize on offer every time scatter lands during the free spins that follow. This can range from 1 times your total stake if you land 5 scatters in the Trident Spins, right up to 100 times your stake if you managed to amass 20 scatters.
During each free spin, up to 5 Trident scatters can land meaning up to 500 times your stake can be won from just the scatters on each free spin. Look out for Poseidon who can award extra free spins or another Trident Spin to take your scatter payouts even higher.
We enjoyed this underwater adventure. The visuals are nicely done usual and there’s a crackling soundtrack in play as you spin. The range of extras isn’t as big as you’ll find in some Blueprint Gaming slot games. The Poseidon Free Spins feature, with the potentially massive scatter pays, can be well worth hitting though especially if you get on a decent run with the Trident Spins. The variance is in the medium range.
Blueprint Gaming has created another impressive slot game here. If you like the myth and legend theme, then it’s certainly worth making a visit to the Master of Atlantis. I would also try Queen of Atlantis from Pragmatic Play which is often overlooked.
