StarQuest Slot

Blast off into space in StarQuest, another release in Big Time Gaming’s ever-expanding MegaWays series. This futuristic slot game comes with win both ways pays, a game engine that can expand to offer up to 117,649 ways to win, stacked wilds with multipliers and respins. Play on all devices from between 20p and £20 per spin.

The design here is pretty basic. With a planet and stars in the background, you’ll see Big Time Gaming’s usual collection of A to 9 royal values and gemstones spinning around the reels. The number of symbols on each reel changes with each spin and can reach up to 7. At their maximum, with all 6 reels showing 7 symbols you’ll have 117,649 ways to create a winner.

Winning combinations don’t have to start from reel 1 either. The win both ways game engine means that winners can begin from reel 6 too. The female astronaut is the game’s wild. She can appear on reels 2 through 5 and substitute for all other symbols. The astronaut fills the whole reel whenever it hits and counts as 5 symbols.

The wild also comes with a multiplier attached. The full reel wilds also trigger the Respin Wilds feature where you get a free respin with the stacked wild locking in position. The multiplier also increases by 1x. If another full reel wild lands, the process is repeated with another respin awarded, the stacked wilds locking in position and the multipliers increasing by 1x. The multiplier wilds combine if more than 1 of them is on display.

For example, on a spin where 2x and 3x full reel wilds are in play, any winning payouts would be boosted by a 6x multiplier. Each full reel wild can offer multipliers of up to 5x which can lead to some potentially spectacular results if you manage to land more than 1 of them on the same spin.

This isn’t the most sophisticated slot game you’ll see as far as design goes. The visuals aren’t particularly sharp but they do the job. There isn’t a standard free spins round here but the respins with stacked wilds and multipliers more than make up. The shape-shifting, win both ways MegaWays game engine keeps things moving too.

The design might not be of the highest class, but the potentially explosive gameplay makes StarQuest worth a look, especially if you enjoy MegaWays games. Finally, I suggest you play Holy Diver MegaWays, from Big Time Gaming, as this is the best MegaWays title in my opinion.
