Just like the original Reel ‘Em In slot game (which was produced by sister company WMS), Reel ‘Em In Lobster Potty is a simply designed game. Set against the deep blue sea, the reels include lower value playing card values as well as a selection of cartoon-style fish. The game comes with 2 main bonus features:
- Reel ‘Em In Bonus feature - this is triggered when the backdrop to each reel is made up of a sandy bank rather than the sea. Between 1 and 5 reels will then become active. These active reels feature blanks which award nothing or instant win cash values. The spins on the active reel continue until you land a boot. The prizes from each reel are then combined and you sail back to the base game.
- Lobster Pots Bonus feature - this round is also triggered by landing 5 sandy bank backdrops. The centre reel only will then spin. The middle of that reel will come to rest and highlight either a bronze, silver or gold lobster. You’ll then win the associated bronze, silver or gold prize with up to 500 times your bet on offer.
Increase your stakes and you can play in Big Bet mode - this is a series of 5 linked spins that cost extra but serve up some added extras. These include extra wilds on the final 3 reels, a Big Bite Bonus feature that adds 2x multiplier wilds to a reel and a Mega Bite Bonus feature that can deliver 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x wild multipliers.
As usual, the return to player rate increases if you play in Big Bet mode, rising to 98% rather than the 94% you’ll see if playing at minimum stakes.
Reel ‘Em In Lobster Potty is simple, light-hearted game and the design has a comic feel. The range of extras is pretty simple too and the lack of free spins is something of a disappointment. It’s not the most exciting game you’ll come across but for some solid seafaring action, Reel ‘Em In Lobster Potty does the trick.
