Lucky Link Beats Slot

Play superstar DJ in Lucky Link Beats, a dance music-themed slot game from Bally. It’s a 5 reel, 50 payline title that comes with a free spins round where you can choose the number of free spins and wild multipliers in play. There’s also a linked spin round where musical notes can unlock an expanded game engine to deliver even more action. Play on all devices from between 50p and £100 per spin.

The reels are set against a giant throbbing nightclub speaker and a crowd of adoring fans. There you’ll find neon style playing card suits alongside a selection of DJ kit. You’ll see a mixing deck, microphones, spotlights and vinyl spinning around the reels. The best of the standard symbols are the headphones which pay 0.5, 2 or 5 times your stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline.

The Lucky Link Beats logo is the wild. It substitutes for everything bar the 2 scatter symbols and offers awards of up to 10 times your stake per payline. Lucky Link Beats comes with 2 features:

Free Games Bonus feature - this is triggered by landing the Free Games symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 on the same spin. You’ll then be offered a selection of free spin and wild multiplier combinations:

  • 20 free spins with a 2x, 3x or 5x wild multiplier
  • 15 free spins with a 3x, 5x or 8x wild multiplier
  • 10 free spins with a 5x, 8x or 10x wild multiplier
  • 8 free spins with an 8x, 10x or 15x wild multiplier
  • 5 free spins with a 10x, 15x or 20x wild multiplier

You could also opt for the mystery choice which could be anything from either column.

Lucky Link feature - this becomes active by landing 4 or more of the musical note scatters on the same spin. You’ll then be awarded 3 free spins on a new set of reels. Land a music note symbol here and it’s held and the free spins revert back to 3. Landing notes can also open up extra rows on the machine. Unlock them all and there’ll be 8 rows in play. Each musical note symbol comes with a cash value attached. You can also land 1 of 4 potential fixed jackpot prizes from this round.

Lucky Link Beats is a good-looking game. It’s a shame that Bally opted for such a weedy backing track given the dance music theme. The features aren’t bad either. The free spins and wild multipliers you’ll have seen many times before. The Lucky Link feature offers something a little different.

This is almost a really good slot game. A few minor tweaks here and there and it would go from being the playable game that it is to something even more impressive. It’s still an enjoyable spin though and should appeal to EDM fans. If you like your music, I recommend you try DJ Wild from ELK Studios.
