The theme here is flashy but the design is actually pretty straightforward. The plain black reels include Ainsworth’s usual lower value royal values as well as dice, a bell and a pile of gold bars. The pot of gold coins and the crown are the best of the standard paylines offering payouts of up to 8 times your total stake per payline.
There’s also a wild, the diamond-encrusted $ sign, which can appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only. It substitutes for all of the standard symbols. There are more features on offer here than you might normally expect from an Ainsworth-powered slot game:
Golden Cash feature - this streak style respin round is triggered by landing 6 or more diamonds on the same spin. The diamonds are frozen in position and you’ll receive 3 respins. Each new diamond that lands also locks and the respins reset to 3. You’ll notice that all the diamonds come with a cash value of between 1 and 50 times your total stake attached. These are added together and awarded as your payout once the respins are complete. If you fill the whole of the reels with diamonds, you’ll land the Grand Jackpot prize of £30,000.

We’ve not always been fans of Ainsworth’s rather dull slot games. They often lack much in the way of visual flair and the features can be pretty vanilla. The design here won’t be winning any awards but it’s decent enough. The gameplay isn’t bad though thanks to the features.
Both the streak spins and the free spins with multipliers offer some decent potential. We don’t like the way Ainsworth tweak the paytable during the Free Games feature. That aside, there’s some decent action on offer in Golden Dollars Golden Cash. If you want more modern slot games with better design, there are lots to choose from – Thunderkick and ELK Studios both tick these boxes.
