Three Bonus symbols on an active payline is the launch code (we're really getting into this military naval thing, can't you tell?) which arms the bonus rounds, and this is where Battleship Search & Destroy really hits the entertainment target for us. Players have two choices of Bonus game they can pick to engage at this point – both offer the same potential payout, but with different gameplays. The first choice is the 'Winning Encounter Bonus Round' which pulls up a special set of five reels, which you can play with free spins until one of two events happen; either you sink the 'enemy' by spinning up a blue torpedo sub on the fourth reel five times achieving a multiplier of 5x any wins accumulated by that time on all twenty five possible paylines, or 'the enemy' sinks you with five appearances of a red torpedo on the fifth reel. Any hits made on the enemy before he sinks you will still count as lesser multipliers on your final award in this round. All good fun, but our preference is for the alternative bonus round, 'Sink The Fleet'. Put simply this is a game of good old-fashioned battleships! You have to seek and destroy the enemy's fleet of five ships hidden on an onscreen 8 x 8 grid, by choosing single spaces to launch a missile at. You have to accomplish this mission with eight or fewer misses with each ship sunk earning you a specified award…the game's over when you either sink the entire fleet or you register a ninth miss. Excellent fun!

This is a great online slot machine in our opinion, and what really sets it apart for us is the 'Sink The Fleet' bonus game because of the element of skill it brings to the gaming table.
