Jungle Books Slot

Based on Rudyard Kipling’s classic novel, Jungle Books is a highly innovative slot game from Scandinavian favourites Yggdrasil Gaming. The game is played using the developer’s Fusion Realms game engine which offers different features based on the character and their location. Play, on all devices, from between 10p and £250 per spin.

The action in Jungle Books centres on 5 characters from the famous story. They each travel through their own realm or make guest appearances in another’s. Each combination of character and realm offers a different selection of features:

The Tiger - this realm is played using a 3x3x4x3x3 game engine which offers 58 paylines. The extra on offer here is a re-spin which is triggered following every winning spin. Land a honeycomb and you’ll also get a re-spin with the honeycomb locked in place. Look out too for stacked wilds - these are added to different reels depending on the symbol.

  • The Boy – Mowgli’s realm also offers 58 paylines and is played using a 3x3x4x3x3 game engine. Here you’ll find synced reels and spreading wilds.
  • The Bear - again, this realm offers 58 paylines. Land this feature and 1 symbol will spin fully stacked on all reels on each spin. This can include the wild and honeycomb symbols. Land the honeycomb symbol and you’ll trigger a pick me mini game where you’ll win a prize of between 50 and 50,000 coins. The number of extra honeycombs added to the reels depends on which realm you’re in when playing as the Bear.
  • The Panther - the reels in the Panther’s realm offer 68 paylines. Here higher value symbols can turn wild. Random 2x, 3x and 5x multipliers are also in play.
  • The Snake – Kaa’s realm also features a 68 payline reel set complete with a win both ways game engine. Land a 5-of-a-kind winner and it is paid out twice. Look out too for the wilds which boost payouts with a 3x multiplier.

As you can see, there are plenty of extras on offer here. They are all slightly different depending on what character you are playing and which realm you are in. With so much moving around and such variety on offer, it’s unlikely you’ll be getting bored any time soon.

As usual for an Yggdrasil Gaming slot game, the design here is very high spec. The 3D visuals wouldn’t look out of place in a classic video game. As far as volatility goes, Jungle Books is in the medium range offering a balanced range of payouts.

The different characters and realms take a little getting used to so a few spins in demo mode are recommended. Once you’ve got your eye in, there’s plenty to like here. It might not go down as a classic like the 1967 film but this slot game adaptation is a pretty good stab at bringing new life into an old favourite. If you like novel adaptations, Jekyll & Hyde from Playtech is recommended.
