Stars Awakening Slot

Blast off into space for some interstellar adventure in Stars Awakening. This beautifully designed, space-themed slot game comes giant 3x3 symbols and expanding wilds with respins. Get on a roll here and the payouts can be out of this world. Play from 20p to £2,000 per spin on all devices.

The dark depths of deep space form the backdrop to the reels here - an assortment of aliens make up the lower value playing card symbols. They’re joined by purple, blue, green, yellow and red planet symbols. The red is the best planet, awarding 25, 100 or 500 coins if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline. Also helping your winning chances are the stacked wilds that can land on any of the middle 3 reels – they substitute for all symbols too.

Look out for giant 3x3 symbol formations which can arrive at random on any spin and deliver some explosive winning potential – this is known as the Giant Spin feature where you can more easily achieve 5 of a kind winning combinations.

After every winning spin, you’ll trigger the Supernova Scatters feature where you’re awarded a re-spin – here, regular symbols transform into scatters. The more successive wins and re-spins you land, the more scatters appear. On respin 1, the purple high win symbol is a scatter. One the 2nd respin, the blue and green scatters become scatters too.

On the third respin, all 5 high value symbols become scatters. Get on a roll here and you’ll be in line for extra wins as each scatter’s value is multiplied by the number of times the symbol appears on each reel.

There may not be any free spins on offer here but the fact that there’s a respin on offer following every winner means there’s plenty of action. As far as volatility goes, Stars Awakening sits in the medium range. You won’t be waiting for the cashier to tick over and you can expect a steady stream of mid-level wins.

As you’d hope from a slot game created by an industry bigwig like Playtech, the design here is high-end. The visuals have a decidedly futuristic feel. The ‘little green men’ are nicely done and the exploding planets are suitably lavish.

There isn’t much in the way of bonus rounds to get stuck into though with all of the action coming in the base game. The stacked wilds and respins deliver plenty of thrills though, as can the giant 3x3 symbols. This certainly isn’t a dull offering.

With simple design and a regularly hitting feature, Stars Awakening is a very playable slot game - it’s not as explosive as a supernova but can deliver plenty of action nonetheless. I also recommend you try Starburst (by Net Entertainment) which is simple in a number of ways.
