Batman and The Riddler Riches is played using a Collapsing Reels feature - after every successful spin, the winning symbols are removed and replaced by the symbols above, offering a second opportunity to create a winning combo. The reel collapses keep on coming as long as there's a winner on show. It's worth noting here that winners are formed when the same symbol lands on adjacent reels rather than traditional paylines.
The game is based on the cult sixties incarnation of Batman which saw Adam West play the Caped Crusader alongside Burt Ward as Robin. Both appear on the reels as well as Frank Gorshin as The Riddler and Stafford Repp as hapless cop Chief O'Hara. Rounding out the symbols are the lower value utility belt, statue and bowler hat and gloves. The Bat logo is the game's wild, appearing on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and replacing all other symbols apart from the Bonus.
