Kingdom of Legend Slot

Get ready for some Lord of the Rings-style sword wielding action in Kingdom of Legends, a 5 reel, 40 payline slot game from Novomatic. Look out for the Orc who can offer 500 time your stake prizes or a spin of the bonus wheel where free spins and big cash awards are on offer. Play, on mobile, tablet and desktop devices, from between 40p and £100 per spin.

The visuals are a big step up from what is normally served up in Novomatic powered slot games -the bold fantasy theme is matched by the sound and imagery which are both terrific. With a mountainous kingdom in the backdrop, the reels include A to 10 playing cards, a pair of bearded warriors and an elfin woman. The hooded man (looks like a wizard) is the wild, replacing everything apart from the Bonus Wheel.

The first feature we'll look at is the Orc Bonus feature - this can be triggered following any losing spin in the base game. An animated Orc comes onto the reels and awards a cash prize of up to 500 times your stake or gives you a spin in the Bonus Wheel feature.

You can also trigger the Bonus Wheel feature from the base game by exactly matching the 2 Bonus Wheel symbols in reels 1 and 2 or reels 3 and 4. It's possible to land both Bonus Wheels on the same spin which awards 2 separate bonuses!

Once active, spin the wheel. Depending on where the pointer stops, you'll be awarded up to 10 free spins, a multiplier of up to 30x which will be applied to your total stake or a turn on the Super Wheel. The awards are even bigger on this Super Wheel, reaching a massive 1,000 times your stake. You're guaranteed a winner on the Super Wheel which is good. Once you're done, you'll return to the standard Bonus Wheel and keep on spinning until you land on collect.

If you've been awarded free spins, look out for wild symbols which become lightning wilds – they can turn multiple adjacent symbols wild on the same spin. After you've played your free spins, you'll return to the wheel for another spin and a chance to add even more booty to your collection.

Kingdom of Legend really is impressive stuff - the imagery is top notch, accompanied by a spectacular, sweeping soundtrack that matches the fantasy theme perfectly. The features are much more extensive than what's usually found in games from this developer too which makes a very welcome change. In terms of variance, I found it in the medium to high range which is exactly the way I like it.

We found much to like in Kingdom of Legend both in the way it looks and in the bonus features it offers. Get lucky spinning the wheel and this Kingdom could indeed be legendary. If you like this kind of theme, I recommend you try Game of Thrones from Microgaming or 300 Shields from NextGen Gaming which both have that epic feel.
